Foreign leaders have expressed condolences over the crash of a PIA plane yesterday.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lamented the plane crash, saying "today's news from Pakistan is tragic."
"I pray for all the families and friends who lost their lives in this accident and for all those who were affected," he said.
Expressing deep sorrow, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani also expressed his condolences over the Karachi plane crash and said that Afghanistan stands with Pakistan in this hour of sorrow.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres also expressed deep sorrow over the accident in a statement.
It may be recalled that a flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from Lahore to Karachi crashed shortly before landing in the area of Model Colony Jinnah Garden, killing 97 people.
