Leading WWE wrestler drowns in sea

Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Shed Gaspard has drowned in a sea in Los Angeles.

According to the foreign news agency, the police said in a statement that a man on the beach informed the patrolling officers that the body had come to the beach.

Police later identified the body as Shed Gaspard and his family was notified.

According to police, Shed Gaspard went for a swim with his 10-year-old son Arya last Sunday when he drowned while his 10-year-old son was rescued by rescue officials.

Police said Shed Gaspard was last seen by a rescue officer when he was 50 yards from the shore and later drowned.

His wife issued a statement on the death of Shed Gaspard, thanking rescue officials for rescuing her son and finding her husband's body.

Shed Gaspard, 39, along with his partner JTG, is thought to have made a name for himself in the WWE as part of the tag team group Crime Time.

After retiring in 2010, Shed Gaspard played small roles in several TV and film films, including the 2015 Kevin Hart comedy 'Get Hard'.
